Graduation

People sometimes sing,
To mend,
Cus in the ears the words ring,
To no end.

The boys looked unconcerned,
But in their hearts lay,
A gigantic burden,
For all those at bay.

The day has to come,
When all will be gone,
And everyone will don,
The cap that signifies done.

The girls held hands,
Emotions abundant,
They counted to ten,
And swear never to be forgotten.

People say 'sorry',
Is the hardest word to say,
But 'goodbye' was the hardest to carry,
To the loved on that day.

When will they meet again?
Predictions go astray,
Most won't remain,
Most won't stay.

Tears will be shed,
Of that they are sure,
As freely as newly weds,
Hugs they have to endure.

Goodbye will be the word,
Used by every single one,
Flying like a freed bird,
And certainly not for fun.

The end is upon,
The old will turn to dust,
As flowers adorn,
The doors to separate paths.
I LOVE YOU GUYS
